Beethoven Project

In Beethoven’s symphonies, reflection and sensation, mood and emotionality are intertwined in a completely new view. The Beethoven Project is a series of nine concerts in Bangkok, each featuring a Beethoven Symphony and work of his contemporaries. It is open to all, whether you are a classical music lover, or new to classical music, or an aspiring professional or non-professional musician, everyone is welcome to join our once in a life time journey to learn, discover and appreciate the music that change the history of Western music. The key objectives of the project are:
- For general public: to make classical music more accessible through a series of 9 concerts in popular public venues. Come experience and discover amazing music!
- For aspiring musicians: uplift your orchestral performing experience and benefit from professional mentorship. A rare opportunity to perform all 9 Beethoven Symphonies and work of his contemporaries
- For corporate partners: to be at the heart of Thailand's music scene and be part of our exciting and rewarding journey together.

The orchestra performs a series of concerts every 2-3 months to complete all Beethoven 9 Symphonies

Who can apply to perform, is there a minimum requirement?
Membership is open to everyone who would like to perform. We welcome both amateur and professional musicians who would like to join this journey with us. There is no age limitation, however to be able to perform our concert repertoire, you should be at least ABRSM Grade 6 or equivalent as a guideline.

How to join?
There are two kinds of memberships:
To apply, please fill in the application form.
Will there be auditions?
For Standard member, no audition is necessary, however it is recommended that you download the parts to see that you are able to play first.
For Coach members (stirngs section only), you may be required for audition if we get more applicants than places. Coach members are limited to four coaches per section.
What is the membership fee for?
The membership fee of 5,500 Baht is to cover for professional mentorship, rehearsal and concert venues and concert operation.
When and where are the rehearsals? Is it ok to miss some rehearsals?
There will be 8-9 rehearsals sessions before each concert. Rehearsals will take place on Sundays, 2pm-5pm at Bangkok Music & Dance Academy (BMDA) in Sukhumvit Soi 26. You are not required to be able to attend all rehearsals but you will get the most out of the experience the more you attend.
Do I need to commit to perform in all nine concerts?
Membership application is open one concert at a time. You don't have to commit to perform in all nine concerts. Priority will be given to members who have performed with us before.
